Vero Beach H2O handles water damage and mold cleanup for homes and businesses in Vero Beach and the nearby parts of Indian River County. We work by phone and on site. The business is operated by Jonathon Trrot. We are a service-area business, so there is no storefront to visit. You call, we ask questions, and we come to you.
This page explains how a job is run and why we run it that way. If something here does not match what you have been told by someone else, ask us about it. A plain answer is better than a polished one.
How we run a job
We start with the inspection. A wall can feel dry and still hold water, and a floor can look fine over a wet slab. Moisture meters and a thermal camera show what the eye misses, and we mark the wet area before anything is moved.
Next comes documentation. We photograph the damage and record moisture readings at set spots, so there is a starting point to compare against. Homeowners can share those photos and readings with an insurer. We do not promise what a policy will pay, and we do not take assignment of benefits.
Drying follows extraction. Air movers and dehumidifiers go in where the readings call for them, and we come back to read the same spots again. Equipment comes out when the numbers match a dry reference, and not before. Only then do repairs start.
Why Vero Beach homes need a different approach
Most houses here sit on a concrete slab. Water spreads across one flat surface and wicks into the bottom of the walls, and the slab itself is slow to dry. The mainland ground holds a high water table in the wet season, so a damp slab is not always the result of a leak.
Humidity does the rest. Outdoor air is rarely dry, so wet materials give up moisture slowly. Dehumidifiers matter as much as fans, and a closed-up house with the AC off turns a small leak into a mold problem quickly.
Many owners are away for months. A leak found after a season away has had time to reach every room, so those jobs call for a full walk-through and a mold check, not just a quick dry-out.
Where we work
Hours
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and emergency calls can come in any time. If water is coming in, shut off the main valve and the breakers for the wet rooms, take photos and call.
